For the past few months uRADMonitor has been competing in Earth’s greatest hardware competition. The Hackaday Prize is a challenge to Build Something That Matters, make an impact, and create the hardware that will transform the world. One step at a time, we advanced in the competition and we are now one of the ten Finalists for the Grand Prize, and one of the five Best Product Finalists.

Judges’ feedback

This year too, an amazing team of specialists had the difficult task of going through all the entries to select the most promising ones. Here’s their feedback on the finalists:

The winners

The Grand Prize and Best product winners are to be announced live on stage at the Hackaday Superconference today. The event will be broadcasted live on YouTube and Facebook.
The first place will walk away with the Grand Prize of $50,000 USD. The second, third, fourth, and fifth place winners will take away $20,000, $15,000, $10,000 and $5,000, respectively. See all the finalists here.

Best Product

The best product goes closer to production and tries to find the product that does amazing things but can also be replicated, manufactured in series based on a valid business model. We walk away from simple prototypes and PoCs, to projects that are designed in a different way – to include economical design criteria so they become fit for the market. We’re on this short list too, see all the entries here:

Fingers crossed and good luck to all the participants! This is definitely something impacting all of us, as it pushes the boundaries of human creativity for new products and technologies.
