KeymasterSorry for the confusion,
You can also look at the KIT1, that is even lower cost and you can hack it to add more sensors on it.

Keymasterhi Catalin,
No, the charger should not get hot, neither warm actually. I suspect there is something wrong with the charger you received. As a quick test, please use the SMOGGIE-CO2 charger to see if the problem goes away.
Then I can either send you a replacement charger, or simply use any of the standard USB ones you may have lying around from old phones or tablets. SMOGGIE needs very little to run, so even a 5V 250mA charger would work (most are 5V 1A).

Keymasterhi Catalin, some people seem to have trouble running the firmware update. Should you have the time, please consider writing a short tutorial on the blog to explain the steps you did . I can also send you the latest firmware.

Keymasterhi Adam,
You can send it back via http://www.uradmonitor.com/rma
Before you do that, try to see if you can get the USB commands working. I am especially interested in seeing the “default” command working on your unit, to restore it to factory default. See: https://www.uradmonitor.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/uRADMonitor_USB_commands_comp.pdf

KeymasterThank you for the feedback. Indeed, the current batch of 5V USB adapters might not be the best one. We will use something better next.

KeymasterSorry for that. Yes, this is under developement and hope to see it soon. You’ll be able to setup notifications from http://www.uradmonitor.com/dashboard in your account, including when the unit detects some predefined values, etc.

KeymasterYes, Wolferl is right, those spikes pushed the diagram too much.

KeymasterYup, totally agree! Also a community flagging option (vote based, etc).

KeymasterThe picture is new on a production unit. The manufacturer produces this variant for uRADMonitor.
Radu
KeymasterYes, but only with a firmware update . This feature is implemented in code, but not activated on production firmware.

KeymasterLook what I was able to come up with: https://www.uradmonitor.com/a-tutorial-how-to-compile-kit1-firmware-on-a-windows-machine/

Keymasterhello Ken,
I am glad you fixed it successfully.
The PM sensor must not be mounted on top of the PCB,
instead it must go through the PCB in the designated area. Basically it fills the entire aluminium enclosure height, going through the PCB.
Here’s a picture:

Keymasterhi Catalin, seems something went wrong when provisioning your unit with the custom firmware . I will get back to you with the correct firmware on email. It’s very easy to program it, here are 2 tutorials:

KeymasterHello Sean,
Yes, you can set linear offsets to Temp and humidity via USB . There will be a manual for that soon, as it requires a few steps to do it.
