    Hi Radu,

I hope you are well during these difficult times.

Did you receive my email a few weeks ago re the Model 3A which has problems powering on and the Wifi signal cannot be detected?

I’d obviously like it to be repaired.

    Many thanks

    Hi Adam,

Since it has happended before: be sure to check the wall wart, they like to fail. These are standard 5V PSU models, just try your A3 with a standard USB PSU for phones or tablets you may have lying around.
The modules themselves are pretty reliable.

    Cheers,
    Wolferl

    Hi Wolferl,

Ive tried several adaptors (5v) and cables but the problem persists – using the USB jack will not power on the unit. The unit sometimes powers on using the 2.5mm jack but when it does come on there is no wifi signal. More often than not the unit does not switch on when using the 2.5mm.

I think there is a fault and need to return it for repair. It isnt water damaged.

Id appreciate it if you would arrange repair.

    Kind regards

    hi Adam,

You can send it back via http://www.uradmonitor.com/rma

Before you do that, try to see if you can get the USB commands working. I am especially interested in seeing the “default” command working on your unit, to restore it to factory default. See: https://www.uradmonitor.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/uRADMonitor_USB_commands_comp.pdf

    Hi Radu,

I’ve connected the unit to a PC using the usb cable and nothing happens – I can’t see any lights switch on inside, the unit makes no noise, the A3 isn’t auto detected by the PC and the the unit’s WiFi signal isn’t detect either (by any other device).

Given the above I shall return it to you.

Would it be possible to change the unit to a rj45 model as I may need to move its location to somewhere with limited WiFi coverage?

    Thanks again for your help
