I can not get it to format the code with start/closing tags in the blog, the code just parses and executes 🙁

I can not seem to find out how the code boxes in the latest tutorial was made…

I succeeded in making the script run inside of wordpress, you can see the result here

    Radiation monitoring

I will make a separate post on how to make this happen.

It would be nice if you added the link “https://www.uradmonitor.com/?open=51000070&sensor=cpm” to the sensor page itself, the only link is to the monitor model when you bring up a specific sensor, but there is no way to share that sensor with others since the url does not change.

    Social plugin share bar? 🙂

This was only my 2nd time using Fiddle, so I completely missed there was a external references tab 🙂

I can get it to fetch the data, but not draw it, on my own site ( http://kaizerpowerelectronics.dk/everyday-science/radiation-monitoring/ )

The same terrible hacked up code works in Fiddle ( https://jsfiddle.net/pzr8efr8/ )

I will take a look at it later when you say the backend is ready 🙂

    I was using Chrome.

I can confirm that Fiddle works straight out of the box in MSIE, but not when the code is ran from my own website: http://kaizerpowerelectronics.dk/everyday-science/radiation-monitoring/ no matter if its http/https in the code, and my domain seems to redirect all to http, if I try https.

    Firefox 47.0.1:

I can not edit any fields, I could only add my two monitors and pressing save just shows a red line through altitude field, monitors does however remain in my “control” after reload of page, so something is saved 🙂

Voltage is not updated in uRADMonitorX for my old A1 model, now with 118 firmware. Maybe due to different prefix spelling? “vol:” vs “voltage:”

    webserver:
    URADMONITOR 11000003
    type:1 hw:100 sw:118 SBM20radiation:18CPM (22.76CPM)

    vol:379V (46%/15.50kHz)
    uptime:2764s wdt:3s

    eth:10.0.0.24 (23.239.13.18)

My KIT1 which reports voltage fine in uRADMonitorX

    webserver:

Those are the numbers I recorded.

About 1-2 cm, pointed as good as possible to the center of the GM tube.

Is there a dead detector time-out? So if a detector has been offline for a certain amount of time, it is no longer showed on the map with a black X.

Maybe a setup mode on the detector itself, like the KIT1 that has a screen and button, there could be a function to reset the automatic location setting based on ISP so that it was easy to reset when the detector have been moved.

For the KIT1 detector I would like to be able to move it around between different places and have it run there for X amount of days/weeks/months.

    Just ideas 🙂

    More pictures

And if you notice a dent on the right of the white front, near the screen, well… I accidentally drop-tested it from a good 1 meter height. Still works 🙂

I took a chance with a handheld project box found on ebay, which I already knew could not fit the KIT1 in its inside dimensions, so I took a shot at it and hoped I could hack my way to success 🙂

It is a Hammond 1553D Enclosure and it can be bought from many different sellers under names like “Soft sided Hand Held Enclosure Black 147 x 89 x 25 ABS Project Box Case” ( http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/301490335412 )

I had to drill two holes in the KIT1 PCB to make it fit between the enclosure supports where the screws that holds it together is driven through. Luckily there was no tracks in the way, so no bridges had to be made.

I also had to cut down every pin on the ethernet board and screen board to get enough clearance for the lid to fit on. The ethernet connector is also soldered as good as welded on to the board 🙂

The PCB itself is perfectly soldered and with all components aligned either top to bottom or left to right, everything in same height, everything straightened to sit perfectly in its silk screen. The OCD was strong on assembling this.

Everything in the enclosure it cut by hand, the white front cover is plastic from a LCD monitor backlight scatter layers and the push button is a M6 nylon bolt. I also changed the on/off button to a sideways so it was able to be operated from the same front as which power in and ethernet goes through.

I also added a regular 2xAAA battery holder.

Cutting the radioactive logo was enough for me, the blade dulled just from that and I gave up doing a much finer cut of “uRadMonitor” above the screen.
