After ignoring it for some time, I finally wanted to address the issue with my unit (51000061) persistently being offline. This had been running OK for quite sometime with the original 115 firmware but stopped for some reason 01-Nov-2017. Working with it yesterday, it steadfastly refused to register data with the server. It also never incremented the second packet counter. To rule out network issues, I brought the unit to work and had the same result. I thought there might be some change on the back end, so I pulled the code from GitHub for the Kit1 and compiled it. Uploaded into the micro no problem, and began reporting data. This data started appearing on the system, so things look OK now. So… what changed on the back end to break things? I couldn’t find anything that referenced a new firmware being required after Nov 1, or anything similar. Maybe I just missed it.
