My SMOGGIE-PM isn’t reporting any PM data. It appears to be rebooting every minute (I think)

Once my SMOGGIE-PM is running, every minute the blue and green LEDs turn off, then the green LED flashes four times, then the blue LED comes on again. This happens every minute. When I look at the data, there is no PM data, though there is data for the other sensors.

Attached is a screenshot from a local browser.

    Any thoughts? THanks!

After I replaced the USB cable, the device stopped going through the apparent reboot every minute. Now the green status light stays lit and the blue light has a pattern of:
    ON
    40 seconds later: OFF
    20 seconds later: ON
    (repeat)
I assume this is normal behavior.

However, I am still not getting PM data. attached is a current screenshot

Hi Newt, do you hear the fan when the unit is running? (Green Label on internal webpage, not the red “Idle” visible in your posts?)

Hi there! Yes, it’s running. It seems like it starts each minute and runs for about 20 seconds. Attached is a screenshot with the “Running” label.

Thanks. Please do a smoke test, burn a little piece of paper and right when the sensor goes into “Running” mode, Blow to extinguish the flame and send a little smoke towards the sensor. Do that for a few seconds . Take a new snapshot with what you see .

Well, I guess it is running. Lately the output is close to the output of another smoggie I have, so I guess all is good now. Attached is a snapshot of the smoke test. It was cool to do a smoke test that literally uses smoke!

Thanks for our help in walking through this.
