I recently received my new A3 and I’m looking forward to setting it up. However, the instructions say that it needs to be shielded from rain and sun, but it doesn’t say what method(s) work to do that.

How have others done this? We get a lot of heavy rain and wind in our area, and I don’t want to risk it. I was thinking about purchasing a NEMA rated enclosure (like what the cable company uses) but I’m afraid that there won’t be proper airflow through it. I only have four sets of exterior power outlets on my house, and the only one that has an awning over it has no place to mount the unit, so I need something that will be directly rained on and exposed to wind from all directions (and possibly the occasional sprinkler, although that’s not often needed in our area).

Also, how high off the ground should it be mounted? The directions do not state that.

Best would be a Stevenson shield. See some pics attached.

Others went for different solutions, here are a few: https://www.facebook.com/pg/uRADMonitor/photos/?tab=album&album_id=398902893605715
