It won’t be counting Alpha rays at all since the Aluminium casing of the unit will block all of that. A large amount of Beta will also be blocked by the case and as I understand the Muller Tube is less sensitive to that type of radiation anyway.
What you’re mainly/only detecting is Gamma.
