InactiveHello
I have this Problem since I´ve got the Device.
The value vor VOC is almost all the Time flat at top of the Range.
What could be wrong?
Unit 8200004F uRADMonitor model A3
Thanks,June 27, 2017 at 12:55 pm #4572uRADMonitor
KeymasterI see the VOC value is 12799999, that is an invalid value.
But this is strange. The VOC is returned by the Bosch BME680, together with temperature, pressure and humidity, and these 3 are ok. Even more, the sensor communication is digital, over I2C, leaving no space for error.
I issued a remote reset request for 8200004F, to reinitialise the sensor. If the problem persists, I will need to have your BME680 replaced.

InactiveThe Problem still occurs, what now?

KeymasterIt looks like the Bosch BME680 failed. I will need to replace the sensor in your unit.

ParticipantThe repair had not worked long.
Since three Days it is back flat at Top.
What now?August 26, 2017 at 1:14 pm #4802uRADMonitor
KeymasterHello JP,
I have attached a screenshot of the current data for the record.
The sensor was replaced since the last manifestation, so this is a new sensor showing the same behaviour.I will need some time to investigate this further. I might also need to discuss it with Bosch.

ParticipantIs there a solution for this problem?
My unit (82000012) has the same problem for some days now.February 7, 2018 at 3:42 pm #5566uRADMonitor
KeymasterThank you for your report @asobig, I hope to have an answer soon.

ParticipantHi all,
I’m reading the issues you all reported. I welcome your feedback here and want to explain it.
The problems are not correlated to a HW problem. We are working with uRadMonitor to implement the BME680 algorithm with the correct settings. You have to know that the sensor only runs without errors if the recommended implementation is followed.
You can find more background on the IAQ (indoor air quality index) (translation of raw signals to IAQ) in the datasheet here:
https://www.bosch-sensortec.com/bst/products/all_products/bme680
The reason that the IAQ is not implemented so far: The size of the algo was too big to fit onto the microcontroller. We worked on a smaller version to fit, but first step is to directly transfer raw data to IAQ values within the cloud.
Raw data is difficult to look at it as only the IAQ values indicate good or bad air quality. PLease see the attachment how the IAQ index looks likeBest regards,
