Hi,

Please update my sensor #11000071 location to 35.1064°N, 106.4929°W in Albuquerque, New Mexico (not Santa Fe, NM) about 60 miles south of where it is now.

I finally got my power-over-ethernet (PoE) setup working with this unit. It turned out the nice waterproof PoE power splitter I bought and used at the sensor did not have enough of the outside ground exposed preventing the center contact to go in far enough and was making an intermittent connection (sometimes worked and sometimes did not and was driving me crazy! — it wasn’t until I placed your USB-to-coaxial power connector next to my splitter power connector that I realized it was not going in far enough into the power socket to make good electrical power contact; it always worked with yours and only sometimes with my purchased unit). Once I used my Dremel tool and carved away another 1/8″ inch of the plastic on the coax power connector it went in far enough t work reliably — that company overachieved in their use of the rubberized plastic covering.

For what it’s worth, the sensor is mounted 3+ feet above ground on the north-facing side of a 4″x4″ post and is in the shade mostly. For a couple of hours in the afternoon the sun shines on one side of the unit in the afternoon (the house shades it up until about 1:00 pm local). I may have to build a small sunshade for the west side of it if the temp averages are thrown off. Otherwise, except for the unit’s back, it is fully out in the open exposed to the background.
