    Hello,

I have a new A3 from the latest Indiegogo run. I am only in my second day of getting to know my new device, but already now I can tell that the temperature readings are off by about 4-6 celsius depending on the real temperature. Is there any way to correct this or might it be too difficult to give it a acceptable correction due to different seasons, here the real temperature outside can vary from summer +30 to winter -30 so my bet is that during winter the correction needs to be less, but this is only my thought.

For example, this morning was around 5-6 celsius while A3 reported a minimum of 11 celsius. The device is mounted outside but away from sun, wind and rain.

Do you have more data on this? More correlation sets to other instruments? There is an offset that can be adjusted here, and I’d like to do that for your unit.

It seems to be a much bigger difference when it is colder. Here is a quickly pasted together comparison to a nearby (1km) weather station, the last week of October. Higher temperature being the A3.

I looked up a warmer day in September.
    16th September 02:00 Weather station reports +11.2c while the A3 reports +14.1c.
At 16:00 the same day Weather station reports +13.1c while the A3 reports +15.7c.

So putting in an offset will get it in the right direction, but to me it seems very difficult to get it to be correct all year around.

Temperature compensation offset changed to -2.4 . Let’s see how this goes.
