    Hi there,

just got my model A3 delivered today and tried to set it up.

My wifi password had 20 characters. Only [a-zA-Z0-9] characters. When I entered the password in the A3 it couldn’t connect. When I connected the next time to the A3 wifi and looked at its wifi settings the password had only 19 characters, the last one was missing.

Is it true that only 19 characters are possible for the password? (I changed it to 19 characters and it works fine now)

    Kind Regards

    Matthias

i got my A3 Wifi some months ago and now finally found the time to set it up.

for some strange reason, my device has no wifi-antenna nor a SMA connector for one but since i can connect to it from my computer, i assume wifi works fine.

however, the device does not connect to my access point (WPA2, 26 characters pass). coming across your post here, i feel this might be the solution. i will try tomorrow (now is 21:00 and the A3 makes horribly loud beeps every time it fails connecting or restarting).

will let the forum know how it looks tomorrow

Your router password is too long, stock firmware takes only 20characters max. Please use a shorter password.

thank you for the confirmation. i did set it up now through the guest-SSID on the router with a short password. why the limit? storage space issues on the device?

Yes, the memory is limited on these devices, a big array to hold a long password can be problematic.
