Dear Radu and Community,
I have a question about the map. No matter how fast the computer/tablet/phone is I access it with, it sometimes takes a really long time to scroll or zoom the map. Sometimes the PCU load goes up to 100% on one core for 10 seconds, before the new map area starts to load.
Is there anything I can do on the cient side to speed this up? OpenStreetMaps is normally quite fast when I access it. Is it the urad monitor overlays which cause trouble?
If you have some idea, please tell me. The whole project is GREAT, so this is only a minor issue 🙂
I can’t say that I have that problem. It all loads, zooms and scrolls ok on my devices.
Ok, thanks for the info. It seems to be a little better on Windows compared to a Mac. But also on Windows: If I drag the map across half of the screen, the CPU is on 100% and it takes 5-10 seconds to load. Dragging the map a smaller “path” is more responsive.
But overall that’s not a big deal.
Works fine for me. But let us know if you continue to experience slow performance.
