My Environmental Science Department is thinking about purchasing equipment for a summer project. We are trying to decide between the A3 and A4. Would it be possible to get a Model A3 or A4 device in time for data collection in Pennsylvania, USA in early May? Also, does the A3 still come with the option for GSM (with a data sim card)?

Normally, the A3 could come with GSM connectivity, however the current design uses 2G / GPRS that was shut down in the US starting with 2023. I suggest using one of the alternatives instead, WIFI , LoRaWAN or Ethernet for the A3 . The A4 uses WIFI only.
