My keeps losing its WiFi connection. It usually works for a few days and then drops it again. Re-booting the unit fixes the problem but then again – for just a few days.

    Any solution for that?

I think you need to boost the Wifi signal, by placing the unit closer to your internet router. The Wifi antenna is internal, so compared to previous versions, the range is reduced.

The unit always connects without a problem if I unplug an replug the power supply.

Could it be possible to setup a watchdog timer in the software to reboot the unit upon loss of WiFi signal or do a daily restart?

There already is a watchdog for this exact purpose. I will keep an eye on it to try to understand what’s wrong.

Meanwhile, unit is muted . You can also control this via USB.

I can no longer access my unit. I shows on my list of networks, I can get connected to the uradmonitor network using the password , but I cannot see the settings if I try to access the unit with my browser.
    Any help to it?

Hi Urs, Can you connect to it via USB? Baudrate is 9600, send a “getsettings” command, what do you get?

I have tried to connect to my industrial unit using the coolterm software on a Windows 10 laptopt – without no luck.

The only port I can see is com1. I am unable to enter any text after connecting via com1. Do I have to install a special driver for the units usb port?

Yes, on Windows, you need to install the CH340g driver. Please use this one: https://sparks.gogo.co.nz/ch340.html

I did try using the driver as described – no success. I just says the driver is pre-installed. But then if I connect the uRadMonitor device there is still only the non-functioning COM1 Port.

    Any other ideas?

hi Urs, I see the unit went online but is now offline again: https://www.uradmonitor.com/tools/dashboard-04/?open=14000013

How did you get the Wifi running?

Do you need any help for getting it back online? The firmware on it is old (v53) and has some known bugs, we should do a firmware update asap!

Let me know if you have the time,

    Thanks,
    Radu
