    Hello,

Is it possible to disable the WiFi network created by the uRadMonitor? Typically with IoT devices, the device’s own wifi network will only be broadcast while the device is disconnected from the internet. Once the device has been setup, it stops broadcasting its own wifi network. This would be useful for reducing unnecessary 2.4GHz use in high-density areas, as well as for security purposes (given that the password is simple and hardcoded).

Additionally, in the overview page for my device (https://www.uradmonitor.com/?open=#), I’m unable to change the country from “CN”.

I think it would also be good to clear the data collected from the factory testing, since it could be misinterpreted.

    Thanks,
    Alex

    Hi Wolferl,

Thanks for answering my question about the country setting. The link I gave was just an example, but my device is an A3 (hw version 105). I’ve updated the city and latitude/longitude/altitude, so that should be good enough for now.

hi @slifox, the flag is changed now: https://www.uradmonitor.com/tools/dashboard-04/?open=82000127

I’ll be adding the country as an editable option in the dashboard soon.

The firmware supports disabling the local hotspot after a predefined number of seconds. It will literally be shutdown. But there is no parameter for this, the firmware needs to be recompiled. If you are willing to update the firmware on your unit, I can send you the one that does this.
