ParticipantThanks for the update. I am an avid documentary follower on Chernobyl. You don’t hear much about it these days, but few people realize that Sr-90 and Cs-137 have approx 30 year half-lives and there is still much danger in the “exclusion zone”.
I have been trying to follow the progress of the new arch that is going to go over the old and decaying sarcophagus, but you don’t hear much about that. You can see the construction efforts of it on Google Earth, but I can’t seem to find out just how close the project is to completion.
What solution there is for Fukushima remains to be seen.

ParticipantBit of a worry, hopefully they get the fires under control soon.
Would be very interesting to have some uRADmonitors in both Ukraine and Japan to see how much difference there is between readings on the ground and the ones the governments are releasing.

KeymasterHopefully we’ll get some coverage in Ukraine as well, especially after the crowd funding I’m planning for this year – in an effort to lower costs and expand coverage.
Server load is also becoming an issue.
