ParticipantHello,
I have just received my SMOGGIE. First of all, is there a new hardware revision ? Mine doesn’t look at all like the hardware version 2 pictured on the website.
I also have an issue. I can’t connect to it. I managed once to get a WiFi lock, but couldn’t access the CONFIG panel. Since then I can’t even get the WiFi to connect.
Any ideas ?

ParticipantSome news. Half the time the SMOGGIE doesn’t accept the password. Sometimes it says the access point is full. Most times it disconnect once I get a WiFi lock and try to access the interface.
By the way, the power adapter worked for a few minutes and is now dead.

KeymasterConnecting to the smoggie can be difficult from some devices. When this happen best thing is to try another phone / laptop / etc.
The smoggies can also be configured via USB.
Yes, the smoggie is constantly being improved, more work is being done on the enclosure, please check the website and the FB page , you’ll see some pics on this soon.

ParticipantHello,
Thanks for answering. Pardon my French but I’m a bit disappointed.
Hardware-wise the new version is still not advertised, more than one month after my purchase. It does look to be better weather-sealed on one side, but on the other I don’t see how to put an extension like the old one allowed, and therefore I’m hoping that it will survive being outside.
The power adapter was dead on arrival (I won’t bother shipping it back for obvious reasons, it’s not worth it) and before even getting my order there was an offer on 10% off so I was a bit pissed off…
Regarding connecting to the SMOGGIE, indeed I moved it recently and had to reconfigure it and it was once more a pain in the ass, until I understood that it was worthless trying to connect to it thru my Android device (Nexus 5X, stock Android 8.1) and I used a laptop.
Maybe it had to do with the rather “charged” wireless environnement I’m in, but that would be nice if it could be at least described in the startup guide and the website. Or better yet if there was a simple way to configure it via USB.
In the end it’s working as it should and I’m thankful for the job your doing ! I guess it’s all that matters.
