It may not be radon in the air, which most radon tests look for. It could be decays that are being picked up from the concrete or whatever your basement wall/floor is made out of. Go ahead and do a test where you put it on a granite counter top.. you’ll see similar readings. Depending on the surface you have it mounted to or set on top of, you could be picking up decay counts from that.
