Seemed like there should be a forum for watching events where radiation is noticed either in the network or the media. There is this event at the Hanford nuclear site in eastern Washington State (USA). Unfortunately, there are no monitors nearby… http://www.hanford.gov/c.cfm/eoc/?page=290

I second that notion, Samuel. And, I think Radu would be open to a new forum for observers to report (any incident, anywhere), it could be called Alerts or Events or Notices or… In the meantime, I’m an administrator at http://www.caferadlab.com and I try to keep the “events” notices current there, based on what I find through my nuclear news searches for my tweets at https://twitter.com/Cecalli_Helper. As soon as I learned about the new Hanford crisis today, I posted news sources, see: http://caferadlab.com/thread-1975-post-3840.html#pid3840 – I have issues with my hands and typing, so, I can’t keep up on all the news and I usually “quit” mid-day Uruguay time… so, it’d be great to have uradmonitors jump in with local findings when spikes or unusual events occur in their region.

And, maybe, hoping, Radu can “gift” some more units to people living near critical sites… for example, I’d love to have a uradmonitor or three near the Argentina & Brasil nukes. And, of course, units around Chernobyl would be awesome.

I’ll even offer my talent in networking for funds to help Radu gift units to critical areas.
